The Kings World · Book Two
Promised Love
Living with the ex-Navy SEAL under one roof shouldn't be hard given he's twelve years older than me, and our Inn isn't lacking any rooms. But simple turns out hard when my family throws us in a honeymoon suite with one bed.
Full disclosure: Lukas Spencer is my husband of four years — not by choice (of either of us), but because of our great-grandparents' stupid promise. Until today, we were living separate lives, awaiting the imminent divorce.
But now he's here, with those bulging muscles which make his shirts look two sizes smaller, soul-piercing blue eyes, and a cleft on his chiseled jaw that peeks every time he smiles.
We manage to successfully be out of each other's way, having minimum accidents — until Lukas kisses me at the back of a car, and I end up on his lap, straddling and dry humping. He apologizes the next day, as he feels he's taken advantage of me. But I can't stop thinking about the kiss and him, and that's when I make the proposal.
Whatever happens in the honeymoon suite, stays in that suite.
What I don't know is the connection Lukas and I share will become bigger than it can be contained in any room in the world. With every kiss, every caress, every touch, I'll start forgetting our reality, and wonder — if Lukas and I can end up having a different fate than we planned four years ago?
